Canine & feline osteopathy

Does your dog or cat show signs of pain, stiffness, or unusual behavior?

Animal osteopathy is a gentle and natural way to relieve tension, improve mobility, and promote your companion’s overall well-being.

My name is Caroline Dupont Zayani, a certified animal osteopath, and I offer home consultations in the Rolle area, from Lausanne to Geneva, as well as in all the towns along La Côte: Nyon, Gland, Morges, Aubonne.

A gentle, holistic, and individualized approach

Every dog and every cat is unique.

I practice a holistic approach, where observation and attentive listening are key.

My goal: to restore balance, relieve tension, and support the body’s natural healing processes - without ever forcing or rushing the animal.

Why consult an osteopath for a dog or cat?

Canine and feline osteopathy is suitable for pets of all ages: young, adult, senior, or recovering from illness or surgery.

Through non-invasive manual techniques, it helps restore mobility and optimize the function of the body’s structures.

It is especially recommended:

  • As a preventive treatment, to support growth or aging

  • In addition to veterinary care, as part of a holistic health plan

  • Following trauma, a fall, or surgery

  • In cases of locomotor, digestive, or behavioral issues

When to see an animal osteopath?

Here are some common signs in dogs and cats that may call for an osteopathic session:

  • Difficulty jumping, climbing stairs, or standing up

  • Limping or uneven gait

  • Pain when touched or sudden aggression

  • Excessive licking of a specific area

  • Loss of appetite or energy

  • Discomfort after surgery or injury

  • Digestive issues, irregular breathing

  • Stress, anxiety, or unusual behavior

What happens during an osteopathy session for dogs and cats?

Consultations take place at home, in the animal’s usual environment, to reduce stress and ensure maximum comfort.

A session includes:

  1. Case history: discussion with the owner about lifestyle, medical history, and observed issues

  2. Overall observation of the animal (both still and in motion)

  3. Palpation and mobility testing

  4. Manual osteopathic treatment, tailored to the animal’s needs

  5. Personalized advice for the following days (rest, food, exercises)

  • Average duration: 30 to 45 minutes

  • The animal remains an active participant — no force or restraint is used.
