Equine Osteopathy
Are you a rider, owner, or caretaker of a horse or pony, and looking to improve their well-being or performance?
Equine osteopathy is a gentle and holistic approach that helps restore mobility, relieve tension, and prevent imbalances.
I'm Caroline Dupont Zayani, a certified animal osteopath, and I offer home consultations in the Rolle area, from Geneva to Lausanne, including all towns along La Côte: Nyon, Gland, Morges, Aubonne.
A gentle, personalized, and respectful approach
Every horse is unique.
I practice respectful and compassionate osteopathy, taking time to observe, feel, and adapt to the horse's pace.
My goal: fosters a relationship of trust, essential to the effectiveness of each session.

Why call an equineosteopath?
Just like humans, horses can develop mobility restrictions that affect their comfort, behavior, or performance.
Equine osteopathy helps detect and treat these imbalances through gentle, manual techniques, always with respect for the animal.
It can be used:
-
Preventively, to support the development of young horses or ensure proper follow-up for sport horses
-
Alongside veterinary care, as part of a holistic health approach
-
Following trauma, a fall, surgery, or a change in environment
When should you consult an osteopath for your horse?
Here are some common signs to look out for:
-
Stiffness, asymmetry in gaits
-
Difficulties in training, jumping, or lunging
-
Decreased performance or motivation
-
Unusual behavior: aggression, refusals, hypersensitivity
-
Saddle fitting or balance issues
-
Post-surgery or injury rehabilitation
-
Routine check-up: 1 to 2 times per year

What happens during an equine osteopathy session?
Consultations are carried out at your horse’s place of residence: stable, riding center, boarding facility, or private property.
A session includes:
-
Case history: discussion with the owner about medical background, habits, and any known issues
-
Observation: assessing the horse at rest and in movement (at walk, sometimes trot)
-
Palpation and osteopathic testing: identifying areas of tension or restriction
-
Manual treatment, gentle and progressive
-
Personalized aftercare advice: rest, exercises, nutrition tips
-
Average duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour
-
No medication or invasive tools are used. The animal remains in control of the session.
